I’ve attached the results for the Winter 25m competitions. Well done to everyone who took part. Special mention to Callum and Ronnie, who both win badges in successive seasons. Also, to Pete C who came second in the benchrest at his first attempt. Shooting comps involves moving out of your comfort zone for many people but it’s the best possible way to improve your skills, regardless of where you feature in the scores table. Always aim to do better next time!
By this Friday there will be new sets of cards for both competitions in the box in the black shed that can be accessed by the ROs. You have until the end of May to submit them. IMPORTANT – the benchrest comp has been altered. In order to give time to shoot them properly, you now only have to submit four cards, with the best three to count. Hence the new bundles of benchrest cards are in sets of four. The off-elbows comp format remains unchanged.
Please only take comp cards if you actually want to shoot the competition. if you want copies for practice, they can be found on the website. I can email anyone copies as well if need be.
On a totally different tack, I’ve already had one or two enquiries about membership renewals this year. As the new card system introduced last year is all set up now, it should be an easier task from my point of view at least. At the star of April I’ll be sending out reminders and instructions.
