I hope you’re all keeping safe and well.
We are continuing to build the database for the issuing of the new style membership cards from the end of May. We now have almost 100 photos and emergency contact details – many thanks to everyone who has contributed. Please keep them coming; we’re still expecting another 50 or 60. Obviously, once the database is complete, the future issue of cards will be very straightforward – you won’t have to submit photos every year!
Andrew M is making rapid progress with the development of the new club website. We are not far off an initial launch and I’ll keep you posted with regards to developments. The site should prove very useful to us all in lots of different ways. However, Andrew is also mindful of keeping it user friendly!
Finally, sad news of the passing of another long-standing club member. David Hurd had been a member for almost twenty years but had suffered increasing ill health over recent years. Despite this, he kept shooting until a year ago, when things finally became too much. You may recall that he asked the club to dispose of a lot of his reloading stuff last year, resulting in £2000 being raised for a cancer charity. I will be arranging for a brass plate in his memory on one of the shooting benches in the near future.
