A reminder that this Saturday is a guest day – usual T&Cs apply.
On Saturday August 17th we are having a special guest session, as Tee is bringing a group of his workmates along to try some rifle and clay shooting. The rifle session will start at 11.00, so regular Saturday members will have an hour to get their own shooting in. There will be 10-12 in the party so obviously if anyone can stay to help that would be most welcome. The club guns and ammo will be available but if anyone wants to bring something of their own along that would be good. I’m going to bring my Sharps 45/70, for example. If you would like to help, please could you let me know ASAP.
Finally, good news about the membership. We are back to 200 members. The little dip that we always have after renewals was filled much more quickly than usual, partly because the level of renewal was so good, but also due to a pleasing influx of new members. The event described above and guest days are fertile grounds for recruitment, and new members frequently comment on the warm welcome they receive when they join, which reflects well on all of us.
