I hope you’re keeping safe and well.
I’d like to remind you all that our next guest day (Saturday Feb 7th) will also be another barbecue day, with Julie and Rob cooking up ‘breakfast themed’ fare to brighten a dull winter day. Please come along to support their efforts. There will be no charge but any donations are gratefully accepted.
On another note, the new Shooter Certification Cards (SCCs) are here – I’ve had them for a few weeks now and they are available for collection from me at the range. If you would like to nominate someone to collect them on your behalf that’s fine. I know Mark has already passed on some to members who attend on days when I’m not there.
Finally, an update about competitions. Sets of cards have been made up for all three of the 25m comps (off-elbows scoped, off-elbows iron sights and benchrest) and are available from the black shed via your RO. These need to be submitted by the end of March. The new 100m comp is now under way, with the first monthly round shot yesterday and won by Rich Y who only dropped one point across his two cards. Jimmy has kindly offered to take over the running of the original comp, which doesn’t start until April but I’ll give reminders nearer the time.
