Hello Everyone

I hope you’re all keeping safe and well.

The main item this time relates to the passing of Stuart.

I have been in contact with Christine, his wife, and now have details about the funeral.

It will take place at Kettering Crematorium at 12.00 on Wednesday 3rd December. After the service there will be a reception at Stamps funeral directors in Market Harborough. At the end of the service there will be a collection for Kettering General Hospital.

Stuart has few living relatives and it is likely that only a small number of people will be at the service. Christine would very much welcome any KTSC members who wish to attend, as the club was such an important part of his life. Unfortunately I can’t go myself but I’m sure the club will still be well represented. I will be making a donation on behalf of the club in the near future.

With regard to Stuart’s guns, they are being held by Northants police. The police have contacted me a couple of times about this, and have been very helpful and understanding. The plan is that the guns will be made available to KTSC members first, with any remainders going to a dealer. As several of the guns are obsolete calibres, the police are looking to sell them ‘off ticket’ which should improve their marketability. I will provide more details about this in a week or two.

Finally, at our December guest day on Saturday December 6th we will have a table sale of a lot of Stuart’s shooting kit, as was sadly done with Dave Sturman’s a few months ago. We are having a winter barbecue as well so hopefully there will be a good turnout, with all donations received for the kit going to Stuart’s family.

A sad time.

Best regards
