Hello Everyone.

I hope you’re all keeping safe and well.

First of all, I’m sorry but I’ll have to cancel shooting tomorrow (Sunday 7th). Jimmy, Mark and Gordon are all completing their RSO course at Oundle. I was going to cover the session myself but an unexpected family commitment has come up so I can’t. Apologies to anyone who was intending to come, but this is something of a one-off.

Stuart’s funeral took place last Wednesday. The club was very well represented, everything went to plan, and Christine herself was at the range this morning to have a chat with us. She also took away £330 from the table sale, with more to come from the likely sale of some of Stuart’s guns. Thanks to those of you who were able to attend, and who donated generously in the sale.

We were very fortunate this morning to be treated to another food-fest from Julie, Rob and Martin. Brilliant fare and everything so well organised. It was a great start to the festive season! Thanks to all who came along and for the donations they made. The donations plus the money we received from the guests covered the costs involved almost exactly, as has been the case with the previous two occasions we’ve done this, so these events are proving to be self-supporting. Another is planned for February – more details nearer the time.

Finally, a few words about the various club competitions. The Autumn 25m comps are now done, as is the final shoot for the 100m one. I have been away for the last week so the scores have yet to be collated but they should appear in the next few days. We are reviewing the format of the various competitions and it is likely that some changes will be made in the light of experience so far. I’ll keep you informed.

Best regards
