This is the message you’ve all been waiting for – it’s renewal time again!
Current membership runs out at the end of May. I have attached the new form for 2026/27; paper copies will be available from the range for anyone who wants one.
There are three significant changes this year :
First, the subscription has risen to £150 for individual members and £200 for families. Rising costs of rent and maintenance are the main reasons, as I’m sure you can understand.
Secondly, we have a new bank account, which means a new account name, number and sort code. This is particularly important for those of you paying by BACS who have the club set up as an exisiting contact. Please ensure you change this before paying. From my point of view, BACS payments are by some distance the best way of people paying and it’s pleasing that an ever increasing number of people are doing this. The new details are clearly shown on the membership form.
Thirdly, we have a card reader available on Saturday mornings, starting next Saturday 25th April, for anyone who wants to pay by card. As well as paying, you will still need to submit a completed form. We tested the reader last Saturday and it seemed to work, so here’s hoping! We can also take payments for ammo, and for guests on guest days. Please note the card reader is only available on Saturdays at the moment.
Last year we only sent very few new cards by post, which not only saved money but resulted in not a single card being lost/stolen, unlike the year before. New cards can be collected at the range, either in person or by proxy. Once we receive the completed form and payment, new cards can be produced very quickly, so turnaround time is generally short. The only other point is – PLEASE remember to include an emergency contact number. This goes on the back of your card and we can’t make up a card without one. It’s surprising how many people miss doing this, and their renewal is delayed as a result.
