I hope you’re all keeping safe and well.
Just a few reminders this time.
Firstly, a week on Saturday (4th July) is our next guest day. We also have Julie, Rob and Martin providing some excellent fare, so please remember to bring an appetite and a donation. The card machine will be available for guests/ammo/donations as required.
Any full member can bring a guest, but if you want to bring more than one, please check with me first. It’s almost always fine, but we sometimes need to watch numbers as the firing point can get overly crowded if everyone brings multiple guests.
A final reminder that next week I am sending the list of FAC holders who have not renewed their memberships to the Leicester/Northants firearms departments. If you’re one of these and want to renew, the clock is ticking…!
The 25m competitions for Spring finish at the end of this month. Can I have completed cards ASAP, and certainly by Saturday 4th July.
John A has sent me a copy of the notice sent to all FAC renewers by Leicestershire Firearms Department. The message bottom line is simple – as soon as you get the reminder from the department to renew your certificate, do it straight away! You need to get it in 8 weeks before expiry to qualify for an 8 week extension. Any delay may result in the expense and inconvenience of having to store your guns after the certificate has expired.
Finally, a message from Julie N :
“Can you please put out an email from the club regarding the target shooting show 14th &15th November at NAEC Stoneleigh, CV8 2LZ Kenilworth.
Tickets are £10 per day or £15 for the weekend.
If anyone is interested in going as a club day out please come and see me on the guest day or email me regarding tickets”.
