Hello Again Everyone
I hope you’re all keeping safe and well.
This is mainly a reminder about this Saturday September 6th, which a guest day and so much more!
We have Julie’s barbecue as well as Martin’s Slovakian savoury dishes, and a table sale of Dave S’s stuff into the bargain.
There is no charge for the food but there will be a pot for donations. Also, the table sale is all about donations; there will be no fixed prices. Everything must go!
If you haven’t said you’re coming to the event but at the last minute find that you can actually make it, please come anyway. I’m sure there will be plenty for everyone.
Next, a big ‘thank you’ to everyone who helped look after Tee’s party last Saturday. Despite starting a bit late, it appeared to go very well and a good time was had by all.
Finally, time to ask for more favours. On Friday 19th September the Shooting Ground is hosting a corporate event for a local architect firm. There will be about 20 guests, divided into groups of four or five. They do a rotation of activities including clay shooting and archery, but also a slot with us on the range where they get to shoot whatever members happen to have brought along. This is the third year they’ve run this and feedback from the previous two times has always placed the firearms session as the group favourite. Unfortunately, I’m away this time, but Rich and Ang Y have very kindly stepped up to take over the management on the day. However, we need a number of volunteers who can turn up with their guns and look after the guests during the day. We need someone to run a simple .22 competition that they can all have a go at, plus the opportunity for them to have a go with a few other guns, essentially whatever the members bring along. The day starts at 10 and finishes at about 4 with an hour for lunch somewhere in the middle. If you are able to come along for either the full day or part of it. please let me know ASAP. It’s a really enjoyable day!
Best regards for now
